The sun was shining. It was set to be a gorgeous day for Jodie and Tom’s outside themed wedding at Brightwell Vineyard Wallingford Oxfordshire.
I arrived at The Shillingford Bridge Hotel in Wallingford slightly earlier then planned. I decided to use the time to have a little scout around taking the opportunity to capture some shots of the venue and the gorgeous surroundings. It wasn’t long until I spotted Jodie and the girls waving to me from a nearby balcony. After a few hugs and greetings from the girls it was soon time for me to get back to work. The girls were all calm and relaxed as they casually chatted whilst listening to music enjoying a glass or two of Prosecco.
Tom and his groomsman were also getting ready in a room the other side of the hotel. I slipped away from the girls for a short while for a quick catch up with Tom and the boys to see how they were getting on.
The guests soon started to arrive. It wasn’t long after that they were seated in the ceremony room to await the arrival of the bride. Following the ceremony there was time to capture a few group shots before all made the very short journey to Brightwell Vineyard for the reception celebrations.
I arrived at Brightwell Vineyard and parked up. I followed the signs directing all along a path into the heart of a magical enchanted Forest. Once through to the other side and over a little wooden bridge the magic came to life. A Tipi decorated in fairy lights. Straw bales for sitting. Pimms on tap. A DJ playing background music the old fashioned way with vinyl records. A magical experience welcomed the guests upon arrival.
The guests were happily enjoying the enchanting surroundings. I managed to whisk the couple away to capture some portraits amongst the grapevines. The couples dog was also happily following making sure he too was captured in some of the shots.
Upon rejoining the couple with their guests all had yet another magical surprise. The jingle tune of arrival from an ice cream van. It wasn’t long until a queue formed. I must admit, I was one of those in the queue eagerly awaiting for my choice of 99 ice cream cone with a flake, chocolate sauce and nuts. As the ice cream van departed the guests were soon seated in the tipi for a wedding breakfast of bruschetta and Woodier Pizza (Little Reds Pizza).
Following the pizza feast the evening guests soon started to arrival.
The Pimms was replaced with a mobile bar. A brilliant feature for the venue as it was an old horse box that had been transformed into a mobile bar. It was run by two jolly lads (Hoban and Sons Bar) who made sure the drinks kept flowing. The DJ having finished his set was now replaced by a live band that had the guests dancing the night away. Our very own Photobooth was also a great hit with all that braved the fun props.
This was a pretty amazing wedding and boy did I have trouble picking the images for this blog post. With my usual wedding post’s getting 40 images to display, I was spoilt for choice with this one. I have managed to filter my favourites down to a short list of 98 images for everyone to enjoy on this blog post of Jodie and Tom’s Wedding at the stunning location Brightwell Vineyard.
Enjoy a look into this wedding, and hopefully you’ll come away with some ideas for your own special day.
