Emma and Owen’s Wedding took place at the stunning Forbury Hotel located in the heart of Reading Berkshire. I’ve covered many weddings at the Forbury hotel, its a local venue for myself due to being located down the road from my home. Probably the shortest ceremony I’ve covered as Emma and Owen only require photography for three hours on the day.
The couple only contacted me two weeks before the wedding as they were unsure whether to have a photographer. After checking my availability, it was happy news all round as the day was free. It is not often at this time of year my calendar has availability on the weekend.

We decided on covering one hour either side of the ceremony, capturing bride preps and group shots after. Arriving at the Hotel and introducing my self before starting on the detail shots, everything was on time, and the bride was slipping into her dress. Emma hand made her wedding dress and is expecting to enter a competition for the dress.
All the guests had arrived for the ceremony, and it was time for the bride to make her entrance. After a reading by one of the couples friends, it was time, and the couple was now husband and wife. As the newlyweds made there way out to the reception, there was sparkling champaign awaiting them and the guests.
With everyone finishing there first drink it was time to cover the group shots, it was a cold day outside, but we managed to get everything covered. The group shots took around thirty minutes, after that I took the couple off for some portraits. Scouting around earlier I found three locations that wouldn’t take up to much of there time.
The portraits were finished, and the couple joined back with the wedding party, just in time as the food was being laid out. The couple opted for a light lunch and buffet service for everyone; the long table was full of treats from sandwiches to cakes. The time had come to say my goodbyes and depart home.
Big thank you to everyone I had the pleasure talking with on the day.Wedding Gallery
