Rivervale Barn at Mill Farm in Yateley is a spectacular place to have your wedding day. Carolina and Nicholas are an awesome couple, and after our first meeting over a year ago, I was so looking forward to working with this couple. A Spanish wedding in the heart of the British countryside.
I have covered a couple of weddings at Rivervale Barn at Mill Farm. Staff are always friendly and a delight to work with on a wedding day. There are also, so many locations to use for couple portraits.
Let us roll back the clock to the morning of the wedding. It was a reasonably early start to cover the bride preparations at Rivervale Barn at Mill Farm. My first shots of the day were covering the venue itself, and with a quick introduction to the staff, I made my way to the preparations room.
The bridal preparations were well on its way. The girls were using every inch of the room to get ready. I don’t think I have ever seen so many people in that room. Carolina looked stunning, and she had only had her hair done.
The mother of the bride was enjoying the bubbly as the drinks started to flow. With the main room ready I decided to go and cover the detail shots.
The dress looked stunning hung over the fireplace and the colours of the room bringing in that warmth to the image. It wasn’t long before all the girls were ready. We soon covered the dad shots with his first look at his stunning daughter.
Rivervale Barn Mill Farm Wedding
It was time for the ceremony and Nicholas looked so nervous as his future wife was escorted down to him by her father. Shout out to the bridesmaids you all looked stunning. As the couple saw each other, two amazing smiles appeared on both there faces. True love blossoming.
After the ceremony, we all headed outside to cover the confetti and group shots. With Nicholas extensive group shot list Carolina soon came to the rescue and quickly reorganised it to a nice number. Twenty minutes later we were finished, and the couple had time to mingle before there portraits.
The portraits were so much fun as we started with the bridal party. With girls showing their legs and the lads jumping for joy, everyone had a giggle or two. We finally got round to the couples portraits and with so many locations to use where to start.
I got the shots I was looking for, and the couple joined the wedding guest to get the party started. After a short time, everyone headed in the barn for the wedding breakfast. With the food devoured and the speeches covered lets fast forward to the evening.
Evening Reception Mill Farm Wedding
Don’t forget what I mentioned at the beginning of the day a Spanish wedding. Listening to the DJ setting up I already knew this was a crazy bunch and up for a dance. Right on queue as soon as the DJ started the music, the dance floor was full. The funny thing is he was only testing the speakers.
In no time at all the evening party had started with everyone on the dancefloor. You didn’t have time to, or you were immediately pulled back on the dance floor by someone else. Later on in the evening, everything stopped for the cutting of the cake, and the couples first dance. Even their first dance was breathtaking.
The only thing left to cover was a shower of sparklers outside as the couple ran through a tunnel of light made by all the guest. Officially opening the BBQ and the evening food for all the guests.
That was me finished. I packed my backs away and hunted out the bride and groom to say my goodbyes. Big thank you to everyone.
