Grims Dyke Hotel, Old Redding, London is a stunning location for your wedding with its spectacular gardens and surroundings. Bihan and Gareth picked Grims Dyke Hotel for its stunning gardens in the hope of a late British summer. Unfortunately, we had to resort to plan B due to a rainy day.
I arrived nice and early to start the bride preparations at Grims Dyke Hotel London. The girls were well on the way to being ready as the bride had a first look with the groom. Not traditional in the UK but something that happens all the time in the U.S for weddings.
After covering all the detail shots the bride Bihan headed down to a secluded room for her first look with the groom Gareth. Gareths eyes opened wide as he walked into the room and gazed upon his future wife to be. After ten minutes we headed back up to the bridal room to await the ceremony.

The groom was eagerly awaiting his bride to be to make her grand entrance into the ceremony room. Heads turned as Bihan the bride made her entrance in a stunning wedding dress with the bridesmaids looking amazing. After the ceremony, all the guests headed outside but armed with umbrellas as it was pouring down with rain. With umbrellas in one hand and confetti in the other, we managed to get a stunning confetti shot of the couple making their entrance.
AS everyone was still outside and huggling under there umbrellas, we decided to do a less traditional groom shot. There was no room inside the Hotel to do a groom shot of all the guests so this was our only option. I have never done a wedding groom shot in the rain but there is a first time for anything, and I must admit it was fun.
We all headed back inside to enjoy the smaller family shots in the dry. We used the library room, and it worked a treat as we could cover larger family pictures in there.
After the family shots, the couple joined their guest for some drinks and refreshments before I took them away for a short time to cover some portraits of the newlywed couple. With the rain pouring down we had to use the space inside, but luck was on our side after all. Late in the afternoon, the rain stopped for a short time, so we headed out to capture a handful of couple shots around the stunning gardens.
All the guest headed into the main hall ready for the wedding breakfast. The bride and groom walked in, and it was time for everyone to relax and enjoy the excellent food. After the wedding breakfast, the room was turned around into a disco-ready for the evening guests to arrive.
The couple completed the cutting of the cake and headed straight into the first dance. After a couple of minutes all the guests joined in on the dancefloor and the evening party had officially started.
After capturing the fun of the evening guests partying away on the dancefloor, it was time for me to depart. With a final click of the camera and the last shot covered it was time for me to head home. Big thank you to all the guests and bride and groom for there hospitality on the day.Wedding Gallery
