Amy Derek Wedding The Great House Sonning

It was a beautiful sunny day for Amy & Derek's Wedding at The Great House Sonning. Ann early start as I headed to the Groom's house first to capture the lads getting ready. Luckily a local wedding and everything was in a 10min driving distance, making it super easy to cover all the must-have shots.

After leaving the grooms house, the next stop was The Great House Sonning. Turning out to be more difficult as I first thought due to an earlier road closer. The powerlines had come down on the main street in and out of Sonning. With some planning in the car and a long detour, I managed to get back on track and arrive at the bride on time. The good news, this also meant I could inform Amy of the problems on the road so she could give herself plenty of time to get to the church.

The girls were in high spirits, and the drinks were flowing. I cracked on with all the detail shots and then moved on to capture the finishing makeup shots. The girls were soon in their dresses, and it was time for me to head back to Reading. The plan was to cover shots of the Groom walking to the church. Amy arrived and looking stunning as her father escorted her to Derek. The ceremony was beautiful and some lovely readings from family and friends.

After the confetti shot, we all headed back to The Great House Sonning for the group shots. With everything covered, I started on the portrait shots in the secret garden as all the other guests were being seated. The bride and Groom made their grand entrance to a hungry crowd clapping and cheering.

With everyone full and the speeches covered, I had one last portrait shoot to do with the bride and Groom. We were awaiting the sun to start descending behind the bridge over on the river. With a quick stroll over the bridge and set my lights up, we came away with a stunning shot.

The evening had almost come to an end for me as I covered the cutting of the cake and first dance. Rounding up all my equipment and saying my goodbyes to the Groom, Amy was on the dancefloor ingrossed in her moves, so I decided to let the Groom say goodbye for me!.

I wish you both all the best and congratulations on your wedding day.
