Franky Beau Wedding Gildings Barn
Gildings Barn located in Newdigate Surrey is the perfect place for a wedding in the countryside. I had the pleasure of being Franky and Beau's wedding photographer at this stunning location Gildings Barn. With an early start making my way to the bride's preparations the weather was looking perfect for the day. Blue sky's with a scattering of fluffy clouds, ideal for photography. As I pulled up to the brides' parents home, the girls were in the finishing stages of getting ready looking stunning. I managed to capture the finishing stages of the makeup and my prefered starting time on the day. Next was the details, so I rounded up all the smaller things and captured them with natural light in the front room. The dresses I decided to leave them hanging up with the backlight illuminating them. The wedding cars were pulling up outside, VW camper and a VW beetle, stunning original vehicles. The bride was now in her wedding dress looking fabulous and very vintage with her flower crown. It was time for me to start making my way to Gildings Barn, I was pre-warned about the road closure on my way.Yes, I ended up going the wrong way and getting lost entirely, but luckily so did a wedding guest. We both made a plan for getting to Gildings Barn, and after driving into various farmyards and over what I can only describe as pathways, we made it on time.
Gildings Barn Wedding Ceremony
The groom and groomsmen were already there, so I managed to get a couple of shots before the girls arrived. The ceremony was outstanding with love and romance fills the air as the couple made their commitments to each other. To cover a wedding in the fields under an old oak tree next to a vintage barn is undoubtedly a summer wedding in the UK.We decided to go straight into the group shots, and just twenty minutes later we had covered them all. The portraits were split up into two parts, the couple portraits now around the barn and after the wedding breakfast a hidden location. The food was a hog roast and boy did I enjoy it!. The staff are amicable and always making sure your ok, whether a guest of a photographer everyone was well looked after on the day. Food finished I grabbed the bride and groom to make our way to the cabin in the woods. Hedden location with a small pond and a wooden hut and would prove perfect for some vintage pictures. With the band kicking off the night and the party officially started it was time for me to make my way home. Everyone was on the dancefloor showing their moves and bopping away to the band. Even I struggled to make my way to the car, and there was so much happening all around.I must have spent a good thirty minutes chatting to the owner in the carpark, charming chap. With you both all the happiness for many years, and thank you for all your hospitality on the day.
