Karen Millen Extravaganza

This was going to be a three day adventure with Karen Millen. One of the top fashion designers in the industry. The first stop being the London Covent Gardens store. With all my lighting equipment packed and ready, I had a taxi pick me up from home to take me to the London Karen Millen store. My schedule was arranged that I would cover the fast fashion turnaround shots. Jay was on hand to cover all the talks with a variety of very well known fashion bloggers.

Karen Millen Event

The first night was a huge success and everyone on a high after all the talks, shoots, and not to mention the free flowing Prosecco. With everyone loving the new Olympus EPL8 it was a winner with all the bloggers. I was eager to see what was going to be in store for us over the next couple of days.Following the London store event we were soon on a train heading to our next destination, Birmingham. We had a quick stop off at the Birmingham Bloc Hotel to drop off our bags. Before long we were heading to the next Karen Millen store. Soon after setting up the crowd starting coming through the doors. With drinks in hand the photography got underway. We were using the built in wifi on the Olympus EPL8, so after taking the image we could then email them of straight away.[gallery columns="2" link="none" ids="9818,9819" orderby="rand"]Twitter feeds were flying with #karenmillenxolympuspen sharing all their images of the talk and their newly taken portrait images. The final day had come and after a 4 hour train ride to Glasgow we had a short time to setup and get the party underway. It truly was an amazing night packed full of fun from fashion clothing, bloggers talking and photography. At 11:59 we had to be back at Glasgow train station ready for our sleeper train back to London. Following a couple of night caps with the team on the train it was soon time for bed. We had first class cabins so a nice bed and a breakfast to wake up to in the morning. After three days, two taxi rides, one hotel, and seven train and tube rides I was finally home and in my own bed for the night. Big thanks to the Karen Millen team, Olympus, Fab Trade, Danielle Hudson and all the team for an amazing adventure.
