After a cold September spell, today the sun was shining giving a lovely warm feeling for Kirsty and Tonys big day.
I met up with Kirsty and her bridesmaids at The De Vere, Highfield Park Hotel in Hook, where the bride preps got under way. The atmosphere was very calm amongst the girls. Upon the announcement that the groom and his party had arrived, I slipped out from the bride preps to say a quick hello to Tony, who was a little more nervous, but nothing a quick pint at the bar couldn’t calm.
The guest’s were shown to there seats in the ceremony suite, that overlooked the hotel grounds, ready to await the arrival of the bride. After the ceremony it was off to the bar lounge for a drinks reception before the guests got seated to a wedding breakfast, followed by coffee back in the lounge.
The evening reception kicked off with a disco to see the guest’s through the evening along with a buffet of bacon / sausage baps and chips, and for those that were brave enough to ride, a Rodeo bucking bull out in the hotel gardens.
