It was a glorious sunny morning as we set off for Herons Barn in Pangbourne for the wedding of Sam and Rob. On our arrival we met up with Sam and the girls who were in the throws of the hair and make up preps, sharing plenty of giggles whilst the Buck’s Fizz was flowing. It wasn’t long before Rob arrived with his wedding party, shortly followed by the guests.
The ceremony was held in the entrance of the barn with the guests looking on from the seating area of the courtyard. Following the ceremony the guests were treated to a drinks reception of Pimms and canapés on the lawns of the stunning venue grounds. There were garden games for all to enjoy in the lovely afternoon sunshine, and horses to watch in the nearby fields and stables.
Whilst the guests were busy enjoying themselves, I made a sneaky escape with the happy couple over to the valley to capture some portrait shots in the open meadows, before rejoining them back with their guests.
The wedding breakfast had all the guests talking as the catering staff served up dishes of pie, with a guest from each table nominated to be the pie servers wearing the chefs aprons and hats.
As the sun slowly went down, the evening guests started to arrive to join in with the celebrations. The live band got underway along with our ever popular photo booth to keep all entertained.
