London By Night
London night life can provide you with some inspirational photographic subjects, but can also present some interesting challenges for the photographer and the OMD. On this Night Streetwalk with a professional photographer you will be learning how to capture vibrant images under a range of low light conditions
We start on the onset of “Magic Hour” (around 10 minutes after sunset) by looking at Camera settings, ISO and white balance. Our first shot we look at speed verses depth of field (f-numbers) taking a shot that will involve motion blur and continuous exposure.
What we will cover
The London eye heroically lit up, the Houses of Parliament at sunset, the reflections in River Thames, the night life on the South Bank.
What you will need
You will need a OMD, Pen or digital camera with the ability to set both aperture and shutter speed and a tripod
What you will learn
- Assessing light, and working with it for creative effect
- How to use your camera in low light scenarios
- Effective use of flash
- Working without flash and tripods in low light

All attendees with need to bring some form of ID to use the loan equipment we offer on all our courses, Drivers Licence, Passport, ID card are all good forms of identification. As this is a night Streetwalk don’t forget to wrap up warm.

Cancellation Info
As our cost for each streetwalk date remains the same no matter how many delegates attend, please note we are unable to give refunds in the event of un-attendees, regardless of your circumstances for not attending.
We also reserve the right to cancel any streetwalk (rarely happens but is always a possibility), therefore do not leave it until the last few weeks to book your place, as you may find that it has been removed!
