Light it the right way first time! Using continuous light has its advantages over flash and speedlights. Before you even have to pick up your camera you can sculpture the light so what you see is exactly what you will get.
There are a number of lighting options from tungsten spot lights to daylight balanced LED lights. We will be using a mixture of iceLights and the 1000wat LED SkyLux from Westcott and also a selection of modifiers.
Using a variety of techniques we will light are model in ways you could only see after taking the image if using speed lights.
Everyone will get a turn taking images and directing the model for some outstanding shots ready to go straight from the camera!

Urban Portraits with Speedlights
17th September at Olympus Image Space
Using a variety of techniques we will light our model using the FL600r speedlights, but all makes and models of camera’s and flash units are welcome as we will be shooting in manual for the duration of the shoot.
We will be teaching you how to mix ambient light with flash whilst controlling all the settings just with your aperture and shutter speed from the camera.
Everyone will get a turn taking images and directing the model for some outstanding shots ready to go straight from the camera!
We will also have Lightroom set up on a computer so we can go through how to edit your image after you have taken the shot.
On camera flash the “professional way” getting ready for winter flash and using High-Speed Sync
