This is a short tutorial on how to create an action in adobe photoshop CS5 and CS6 and help you improve on your editing workflow on your images, this action will help you on lightning and darkening the image and also warming up or cooling down the overall look.

1) Bring up any image in Photoshop. Remember, as you are creating an action, do not adjust anything for this particular image. Make sure you ACTIONS PALLETTE is in LIST view and that Button Mode is deactivated for now.

Amie and Nathan Wedding

The start of the wedding photography

Amie Curtis and Nathan Paulden wedding ceremony at Easthampstead Park in Wokingham, wow, with the groom pulling up in a gleaming white Rolls Royce and the bride in a vintage Jaguar showing that the soon to be married couple have style. I must admit when I arrived the weather didn’t look good with rain and thunder hanging over the venue, but with a sudden break in the weather and the sun coming out I was able to dash out and capture the bride in the fantastic car she rolled up in.

Ceremony

Whilst the ceremony was in full swing we all glanced out of the window to see the heavens open up lashing down with rain. I think we were all thinking the same thing (please stop for the group photos) and our wish was to come true! We had just the right amount of time to capture the shots in the sun before the happy couple headed off to there reception.

Julie Wright masked ball

Saturday, July 28th, 2012

We all had so much fun covering Julie wrights masked ball event located at the stunning Caversham Heath Golf Club and the photobox was a huge success capturing hundreds of unforgettable images. After we set the photobox up in a discreet corner of the room everyone came flooding over for some fun and lively photos. I think it helped being situated right next to the dance floor.

Later in the evening when we got the chance we turned the photobox lights off and started walking around to capture those candid shots from around the room and on the dance floor for what made out to be an amazing night for all.

Emily and Tim Jazz Band

Friday, July 27th, 2012

I had the privilege to cover Emily and Tim’s wedding on 21 July At St Stephens Pond Street London And this is a photo of their amazing jazz band that was playing throughout the wedding, I fell in love with this photo as to me it looks like a picture that’s been painted and not an actual photo that’s been taken by a camera.

When it comes to editing the image all I did was turn the photo to black-and-white I’ve added some noise and gain into the image and I’ve added a filter over the top for the end result, I’ll be posting the rest of Emily and Tim’s photos in the next couple of days.

The Military Wedding

The wedding of Emily Hadley and Tim Fitzgerald was held at the amazing St.Stephens Church located on Pond Street London, the church was recently fully restored and it’s well worth a look into the history behind the restoration. with it’s stunning stained-glass windows and architecture it is well worth a visit and a must to get married in.

Groom & Bride

The day started out at Tim’s hotel were he was getting ready very calm and relaxed putting on his Military uniform by 12 o’clock the room was full with his team sipping a glass of champagne, by 1 o’clock I was heading over to Emily’s flat to start taking the pictures of them getting ready and yet again everyone was relaxed all the hair and make-up was almost finished and they were waiting for the cars to roll up. The church ceremony was amazing with the full honor guard after the church ceremony for Emily and Tim to walk out to.

Reception

The whole day and evening went to clockwork with not a minute to spare in between, with the champagne flowing and speeches finished there was only one thing left to do that was for the dancefloor to open up and the first dance to commence, a big thank you to Emily and Tim and congratulations on your wonderful day.
