BMI Hospitals Consultants Headshots

An end to a project, but what fun I've had over the eight weeks it's taken at two BMI Hospitals. BMI commissioned me to cover all the consultant's headshots at The Runnymede Hospital and the Princess Margaret Hospital. The challenge ahead of me was keeping uniformity to all the shots. Each Hospital is different from the lighting and locations to be used on the day of the shoot. I also had to keep my equipment to a minimum to transport it to and from the Hospital meeting rooms we were using.

After the first day of spending some time on the lighting and settings, we were all good to go. The settings would stay the same for every shoot so that we could keep the same coloured background.

Each time I set up, I counted the steps to each light, matching the camera position to the last shoot. It seemed like thousands of images were being captured, making sure all the Consultants and staff were happy with their new Headshot. Altogether, I delivered 476 retouched Headshots, which comprised a landscape and portrait of each person.

I've become accustomed to driving to the hospitals and seeing all the staff along with my contact as we had our daily conversations.

Below is just a small selection of the Headshots I've taken at different Hospitals on different days but still showing uniformity of the lighting background and position of the subject.

Working with larger companies on projects like this can be challenging but most definitely rewarding at the end when you look back at all the images. The organisation is the key, and I want to say a big thank you to Christina and Dominique for all the hard work you put into the project.
