Katie and Simon's Wedding at The Swan at Streatley
Katie and Simon's Wedding at The Swan at Streatley. What a fantastic wedding and a wonderful couple. I had the best day ever covering their wedding day. The Bride, Groom, Bridesmaids and all the guests were so welcoming. Starting with the bride preps, the girls were in full swing of getting ready when I arrived at ten o'clock. The drinks started to flow, and the wedding dress looked stunning, hanging up in the window framed with light.
Simon was frantically dashing around the venue, setting things up for the ceremony and putting the finishing touches on the tables before rushing to get ready. Lads don't take long to put a shirt on and jump into trousers. That's it already, and time for the ceremony. Katie looked stunning as she made her way toward Simon.
After the ceremony, we all headed outside by the river. What a day with blue skies as far as we could see. It was the perfect day. With everyone finishing their first drink and enjoying the canopies, we quickly dashed through the group shots so everyone could get back to enjoying the sun.
We covered the bride and groom's portraits a little after the group shots giving them more time with the guests. I could talk for hours about this wedding with all the fun everyone had. One thing I do want to mention is the Tea ceremony. I love traditions. How do two people come together and celebrate it with their families in different ways? It's mesmerizing to watch.
It was that time again. It was the cutting of the cake followed by the first dance. The couple didn't have the dancefloor to themselves for long before all the guests joined them and officially started the evening entertainment. Although I think the karaoke room was more popular with the men, they sang their hearts out at the top of their voices.
It was time for me to depart and say my goodbyes. I did enjoy every moment of the wedding, and it was a pleasure to help them out in every way I could. Congratulations.
