Lee Jamie Wedding Datchet Manor Hotel

Little bit of a different wedding this time as I was approached by a friend to cover a wedding. The coverage was to be just three hours for Lee and Jamie’s wedding at the Datchet Manor Hotel. Normally my weddings are around 8-16 hours coverage on the day. The wedding party was made up of a small number of close family and friends. This made the wedding more personal and meaningful so the short coverage time worked a treat.

It was one of them days all us wedding photographers wish to avoid. By that I mean midday sun beaming high in the sky with only a handful of clouds for defuse light. The ceremony was emotional and joyful with the boys of the couple making time to do their own reading on the day to their Mum and Dad. Following the ceremony at Datchet Manor Hotel we all made our way outside. The guest’s gathered for group shots on the magnificent roundabout island in front of the hotel.

With all the group shots over I had time for a quick scout around. We ended up doing the bridal portraits close by down a winding driveway leading to some cottages. Back at the hotel the couple re-joined their guests and enjoyed the sun with a glass of fizz in the conservatory. It wasn’t long before the bells were ringing for everyone to be seated for lunch.

With my time almost coming to an end, I quickly captured some unobtrusive and natural wedding shots of the guests enjoying themselves in the hot sunshine. You couldn’t of asked for a better day weather wise. The previous days were wind and rain but not for this happy couple.

Big thanks to everyone for all their hospitality on the day at the Datchet Manor Hotel and congratulations to Lee and Jamie.
