Megan David Wedding Elephant Hotel Pangborne

Megan and David Wedding took place at the Elephant Hotel in Pangbourne, Reading, Berkshire. The Elephant Hotel is a venue renowned for its service and character. With a mid morning start and being a local wedding for me, it was nice to have a relaxing morning. But it was soon time to make a move to the Elephant Hotel and start the photography.

Arriving at Elephant Hotel the sun was out, or at least trying to push through the clouds. I made tracks straight to the front of the hotel for arrival shots. The girls were in full swing of getting ready as I introduced myself. Drinks and laughter flowing with a slight whiff of baby’s bums (Inside Joke). I decided to head down to the reception room and start covering the detail shots. The mum and Dad were already setting up the rooms with the decorations flowing all around me.

It was soon time for Megan to slip into her wedding dress. With a brisk shout, I was allowed back into the room to capture the final dress shots. I was soon heading down to the ceremony room. David, with a slightly nervous look upon him, was awaiting his soon to be wife to walk down the aisle. With a slight nod from me as the bride made her entrance David turned. With a tear in his eye and a grin on his face, Megan walked down the aisle towards him.

The ceremony was amazing. Small and intimate, just perfect with the readings. Following the ceremony, everyone made their way outside where we decided to get straight in to the group shots. The sun was shining down but big rain clouds lingered in the distance. We managed to get everything covered before the rain came down. But by then everyone was back inside enjoying the speeches. The food was amazing and always is at Elephant Hotel.

The evening started with a live band and everyone enjoying the first dance. Before long everyone was joining in doing their moves to the beat of the music. One of the biggest hits of the evening wasn’t on the dance floor but tucked into a corner. The magic mirror proved very interesting to all the guests. Throughout the evening everyone made their way over to the mirror for dressing up and silly pictures.

My time here had come to an end. With the hog roast just about ready and the evening guests relaxing outside. The evening turned out to be blue sky and good friends mingling on the grass. What better way to bring the evening to an end.

Big thank you to everyone for all there hospitality.
