Billy and Helen Wedding The Great House at Sonning
It huffs, puffs, and blows the house down, but there is no stopping a wedding with the three storms we have just had. Billy and Helen planned their Wedding at The Great House at Sonning. It's a stunning location with all the gardens around and located right next to the river. We hoped to cover the group shots and portraits outside, but the days leading up to the wedding stopped this from happening.
With 80 miles an hour winds bringing down trees and blowing everyone all over the place, the wedding would have to stay indoors. The wind wouldn't stop us, and everyone was on a high. It was good to be back covering weddings, and this would be my second one kicking off the wedding season with lots more to follow.
We came up with a plan of covering everything inside, and as we only had one room to do this in, all the staff pulled together to make it work after the ceremony. Guests had their drinks; we covered the bride and groom portraits along with family shots at the bottom in front of the fireplace. Meanwhile, the staff started turning around the room at the top to give us time to capture all the shots we needed.
The day turned out perfect, with everything covered. We all forgot about the weather outside.
Congratulations.
