Emma and Neil Wedding St James the Great Church

Emma and Neil Wedding St James the Great Church. There is nothing more personal than having your wedding at home or having your wedding in the local family church that your grandparents had a wedding years ago. The brides mum and dad also went to town decorating the family home and garden and transforming the house's grounds for the wedding reception to cater to 125 guests arriving.

Original, the couple had planned to have their wedding abroad in the Caribbean. With the original plan changed multiple times, giving in to restrictions and planning a home wedding was time. Although secretly, I think the dad was happier for a UK wedding.

Even though the day was freezing and the light was challenging, we managed to pull off the perfect day. I would even say we dogged the rain and wind with all the guests enjoying the warmth of the tent after the wedding, breakfast, and the band setup to kickstart the evening with the brides and groom first dance. The guests didn't need much persuasion to join them on the dancefloor.

With everyone in full swing party mode and the drinks flowing, it was time for me to say goodby and hit the road home. Big thank you to everyone for all the hospitality on the day and the warm welcome into the family home.
